Iran Constitution

This is a developing draft of Iran's future constitution.

Preamble:

We, the people of Iran, united in our diversity and committed to building a more just, prosperous, and peaceful nation. We hereby establish this Constitution to secure the blessings of freedom, equality, and progress for all.

Guided by the principles of sovereignty of the people, separation of powers, and respect for human rights, we establish this Constitution to govern our nation and to ensure the protection and promotion of the well-being of all Iranians.

We recognize Iran's rich history and cultural heritage, and we acknowledge the contributions of all ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups to the building of our nation. We reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of tolerance and mutual respect and ensuring all Iranians' rights and freedoms are respected and protected.

We pledge to promote sustainable, inclusive, and equitable economic growth that will provide opportunities for all Iranians to reach their full potential. We also pledge to invest in education, science, and technology to enhance the knowledge and skills of our citizens and improve the standard of living for all.

We recognize the importance of preserving our natural environment and resources for future generations and commit to implementing policies that balance economic growth with environmental protection.

We also pledge to establish an accountable, transparent, and responsive government that will work for the benefit of the people. We pledge to promote the rule of law, freedom of expression, and the protection of civil liberties and human rights.

We recognize the importance of peace, security, and stability in the region and pledged to promote peaceful coexistence, respect for territorial integrity, and the protection of human rights. This Constitution is a living document, which will be amended and updated as needed to reflect the evolving needs of our nation and its people. We work together to build a better future for Iran, for the benefit of all Iranians and for the generations to come

Article 1

Sovereignty: The sovereignty of the nation is vested in the people, who shall have the right to elect their representatives and govern their own affairs through the exercise of their inherent rights and freedoms. The government shall be accountable to the people and shall exercise its power in accordance with the will of the majority as expressed through free and fair elections. The government shall also respect the rights of minority and marginalized groups, and shall work to eliminate discrimination and inequality in all forms."
